Ayrshire Sportsability
At Rugby Park in 2001, we met a group of children and young people with physical disabilities.
They inspired us to do something about the fact that they did not have the same opportunities as others to take part in physical activity and sport. We were delighted to start working with adults with disabilities in 2014.

What We Do
The Charity was created to promote the education and welfare of children with physical, sensory and learning disability through sport. ASA are delighted to now be working with adults with disabilities.
Our committee consists of representatives from East Ayrshire Council, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, North Ayrshire Council, North Ayrshire Leisure, Scottish Disability Sport, South Ayrshire Council, Ayrshire College and SportScotland.
Our Objectives
Ayrshire Sportsabilitys aims are to work with our partners in sports development, education and local disability sports organisations to develop local participation opportunities. We will support education and training opportunities in the community, enabling people to take part in mainstream sport.
We aim to co-ordinate and support Ayrshire-wide competitions in sport, to host annual Ayrshire Sportsability Festivals and promote equal opportunities in sport.
